Opting for Herringbone in a range of wood-effects, CBS Office Interiors has given the look of a traditional parquet floor to bring together contemporary finishes used elsewhere in the scheme:

“The idea was to use IVC’s Studio Moods to reflect the heritage of Ascot Racecourse, while bringing together the other contemporary finishes we had selected for the scheme.” Explains Lucy Northway, CBS Office Interiors.“Studio Moods allowed us to create the feel of an original parquet floor, but without compromising on practicality through the use of real wood in such aheavy-use space."

CBS Office Interiors has used a mixture of wood-effects in the herringbone pattern to effortlessly zone spaces, made possible through Studio Moods pre-cut planks. Using IVC’s 55 specification, with a 0.55mm wear layer and Proteconite® PUR, means the best in performance for this demanding area.

“We opted for IVC not only for the authenticity of its wood effects, but also for the ease of the Studio Moods concept. Pre-cut, it gave us the look we wanted while minimising time spent on installation,” reveals Lucy.

Studio Moods offers a range of pre-cut shapes including herringbone, basketweave, hexagon and triangle patterns. Available in wood and stone effects, Studio Moods combines creativity with the practicality of high-performance LVT with up to 50% recycled content.

Designed, developed and made entirely in-house, Studio Moods is an example of IVC’s commitment to over coming the challenges of flooring projects.

Lucy concludes; “We were very impressed with the final floor, inparticular how realistic it looked and how it brought the scheme together beautifully.

”With the refurbishment of the Queen Anne Building carrying out CAT Aand CAT B works, CBS Office Interiors introduced a range of clever approaches to overcome the design challenges that come from the need for the 20% increase in staff at key race events.
