What is LVT?

LVT or Luxury Vinyl Tiles are vinyl flooring tiles composed of several layers with a PVC core. Combining the best of both worlds, they are the perfect blend of functionality and great looks; natural looking, waterproof and easy to install and clean.

What is heterogeneous vinyl?

Heterogeneous vinyl floors are composed of several layers and topped with a printed design beneath a hardwearing wear layer. Available in sheet format in rolls of 2M or 4M width, heterogeneous vinyl offers creative solutions for commercial areas. Because of its high durability, it is particularly well-suited for heavy traffic applications, in hospitals and schools for example.

What are carpet tiles?

Carpet tiles, also known as modular carpet, are a stylish and modern alternative to traditional broadloom carpet. Versatile, easy to place and remove, and available in a wide range of colours, this flooring solution is popular in commercial projects.

Installation and finishing

Where can I install an IVC floor?

Because they are wear- and in the case of our vinyl flooring solutions, water-resistant, IVC floors are suited for any space. Whether you need a floor for an office, a housing project or a hospital, IVC has the right floor to suit your needs.

Can IVC floors be installed over existing floors?

VC floors can be installed easily on wood, concrete and tiles, both fixed and floating. However, careful preparation such as levelling and dust removal is required.

Are IVC floors compatible with underfloor heating and/or cooling?

All IVC floors, including carpet tiles, can be used in combination with both floor cooling and heating systems, under the correct conditions. The underfloor heating needs to be hot-water or electric, and the top floor surface cannot exceed 27°C.

How can I best maintain an IVC floor?

Each IVC floor is designed to last, but to ensure that it stays at its best for years to come, there are a few simple and easy to follow routines. Cleaning is a breeze, with no specialist maintenance required. It’s advisable not to use aggressive cleaning agents or steam cleaners on an IVC floor, or to leave puddles of water on the floor after cleaning.

Are IVC floors compatible with steam cleaners?

Because IVC Commercial floors are extremely easy to maintain, steam cleaning is not necessary and we strongly advise against using steam cleaners. The hot steam can cause distortion in the boards, and there is a higher risk of floor damage. Steam can also enter through the joints and dissolve the adhesive, leading to the risk of boards becoming unstuck.
