Luxury PRS floors with a traditional edge

Our Carpet Tiles and Luxury Vinyl Tiles have been used in the refurbishment of York House, a PRS project of six luxury ‘Airbnb’ apartments in the city centre of York, United Kingdom.

For the apartments themselves, our LVT floors provide an affordable solution to the challenge of a luxury floor in keeping with the practical demands of rental properties. Using our Moduleo 55 specification ensures York House enjoys an authentic wood and stone effect floor that’s durable and easy to maintain.

Modern performance in keeping with tradition

Within kitchen and dining areas, Jura Stone 46191 was used to create a clean and sophisticated appearance, with Moduleo 55 Impressive Laurel Oak 51822 installed in a chevron design creating a relaxing and welcoming natural look in keeping with the historic interior of the apartments. With register-in-emboss for a surface structure mirroring its design, Laurel Oak’s authentic look befits the high-end status of the apartments.

“The authentic looks that are faithful to natural materials give the apartments and communal areas a prestigious and welcoming feel, while the durability and ease of maintenance of LVT is just what’s needed for this project.”

Meeting the demands of private and public areas

In hallways and corridors, the luxury look is continued with more of our LVT. A diamond pattern of Moduleo 55 Tiles Jersey Stone 46156 and 46976 is matched to a decorative border inlay, creating a traditional look with the performance of today’s flooring solutions. Creative Spark carpet tiles have been used in stairwells, bringing an affordable and lasting stain and fade-resistant solution in a taupe colour.

Rising to the challenge of luxury accommodation

Specified by specialist contractor, Trevor Wharton Carpets, our flooring solutions met the brief: “For this upmarket development, the client wanted floors that upheld the traditional style of the building’s interior,” explains Trevor Wharton. “By cutting the diamond pattern to size and with the inlay border, we’ve really made sure that the look celebrates the history of York House. We looked towards IVC Commercial’s LVT as the ideal solution to meet the brief set out by the client.

A total of 860m² of floors from our Carpet Tile and Luxury Vinyl Tile collections were installed throughout York House. Designed and made in Europe with the future in mind,
